Excitable cells part 1. A more in-depth treatment of the generation of membrane potentials, an equivalent electrical circuit of the cell membrane and the Hodgkin-Huxley equations (in part 2 below).
Excitable cells part 2. Voltage-gated channels and the Hodgkin-Huxley equations. A detailed treatise of transient and persistent voltage-gated channels and gating, resulting in the HH equations.
A gentle introduction to the chemical synapse. This will be extended shortly with a more detailed treatise and derivation of some elementary functions that describe the synaptic conductance.
